BIS REGISTRATION FOR AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE

IS Standard : IS 13252 (Part-1)


Both foreign and Indian manufacturers must register with BIS for ATM machines. According to IS 13252, BIS Registration is required for all models and brands of automatic teller cash dispensers (Part-1).
The BIS Registration will only be given to Indian or foreign manufacturers of the product for their own use; it will not be given to the product's trader, dealer, or distributor. After the two years are up, the licence must be renewed. The licence is valid for two years. Without BIS's approval, a manufacturer is not allowed to sell the equipment. BIS/CRS Registration guarantees both the machine's and the users' security. Additionally, it guarantees that the device complies with all necessary requirements and standards.
