For cordless telephones, EPR authorization is necessary. E-waste produced by electrical and electronic products at the end of their useful lives must be managed in an environmentally sound manner, and this responsibility falls on the manufacturer and importer. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which issues the EPR Registration Certificate for cordless telephones, must also grant EPR authorization to the State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs). Recyclers who are EPR Authorized are permitted to import e-waste from other nations and recycle it sustainably in India. India's e-waste can also be exported to other nations for recycling, provided the exporter has all the required authorizations and documentation.
