The cellular telephones need EPR authorization. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer or importer to ensure that the e-waste produced by electrical and electronic products at the end of their useful lives is managed in an environmentally sound manner. Manufacturers and importers of EEE products must have an EPR authorization to ensure environmentally sound management of E-waste. The EPR authorization system covers every facet of managing e-waste, from collection and storage to transportation, disassembly and recycling, and final disposal. The collection and handling of E-Waste produced by their products over the course of their useful lives shall be the responsibility of the manufacturers or importers.
