BIS-CRS Registration is essential for all manufacturers, exporters and importers of All Visual Display Units / Video Monitors of Screen Size upto 32 inches as this product cannot be legally sold in Indian consumer market without BIS Registration. The BIS Act provides the framework for BIS standards, product certification and registration scheme which are mandatory for products notified under the Act.
While BIS product certification programmes certify that the products meet BIS standards, BIS standards set forth specifications for product quality, safety, and performance. BIS registration is a voluntary process, but it is necessary to complete it before marketing any visual display units or video monitors with screens up to 32 inches in India.
